this is a work in progress. i've become much more interested in paintings that ask questions rather than give answers. with this piece, im still trying to find the color and composition and i want to give clues of what just happened, but also leave much of the story up to the viewer. i have an entire back story to this, and will try to convey that as much as i can. this was inspired by the "gunfighter" piece i did a while ago. just as that piece should ask questions of, who is this guy, and why does he have a satchel of money, this one should ask, why are there 2 horses and only one wounded man? any ways im still working on it. cheers.

That's a great comment about paintings that ask questions rather than answer them. I like that a lot as well.
